Moston Vale City Park has been designed to form a green link into Manchester Centre, to transform the local communities' greenspace from wasteland to welcoming park, and to enhance the local area for the benefit of businesses and the economy of the region.

Strong pedestrian links across the site follow the line of the now underground watercourse, interpreted through the snaking blue line along the path. This major route is lit at night by the sculptural solar lights along it's course. Following the path are new native woodland blocks and wildflower meadows and it's route will lead you from the new football pitch in the more formal east, past the tree-lined avenue of the dissecting road which splits the site, and into the meadows and woodlands of the more informal parkland of the west.
